Sometimes routine cleaning isn't enough.
Sometimes routine house cleaning isn't enough. Dust settles into hard-to-reach areas, grime builds up on frequently touched surfaces, and spaces that don't need attention every week eventually need a more thorough cleaning.
Housekeeping Associates offers professional deep house cleaning in Ann Arbor, Okemos, Brighton and surrounding communities for homes that need extra attention.
Our Deep Cleaning service includes the tasks performed during a Basic Cleaning, with additional time and detail devoted to areas where dust, dirt, pet hair, and buildup tend to accumulate.
Deep Cleaning is a great choice for a first-time cleaning, one-time cleaning, or special-request cleaning when you want your home cleaned beyond normal routine maintenance.
What's Included in a Deep Cleaning?
A Deep Cleaning includes our Basic Cleaning service plus additional detail work throughout your home.
Instead of simply dusting many surfaces, our cleaning team hand wipes, washes, scrubs, or vacuums them where appropriate and accessible.

Deep Kitchen Cleaning
Kitchens are one of the busiest areas of a home and one of the easiest places for grease, crumbs, fingerprints, and everyday buildup to accumulate.
In addition to the kitchen tasks included with our Basic Cleaning, Deep Cleaning includes extra attention to surfaces such as:
- Stovetop thoroughly scrubbed

- Appliance exteriors cleaned

Bathrooms can develop soap residue, water spots, dust, and buildup that routine cleaning doesn't always completely address.
Our Deep Cleaning service provides additional attention to bathroom surfaces, including:
- Sinks scrubbed and disinfected
- Countertops and fixtures cleaned
- Mirrors cleaned from top to bottom when safely accessible
- Tub and shower cleaned
- Tub and shower tile given additional scrubbing when buildup is present

- Wastebaskets emptied, washed, and relined
- Floors vacuumed and/or mopped
When Should You Schedule a Deep Cleaning?
Deep Cleaning isn't necessarily something every home needs during every visit. It's designed for situations where routine maintenance cleaning isn't quite enough.
A Deep Cleaning may be the right choice when:
- You're scheduling professional house cleaning for the first time
- Your home hasn't had a thorough cleaning recently
- Dust and buildup have accumulated in less frequently cleaned areas
- You want a detailed one-time cleaning
- You're preparing your home for guests or a special occasion
- You want a more thorough seasonal cleaning
- You're planning to begin recurring house cleaning and want to start with a more detailed clean
After your home has been thoroughly cleaned, our Basic Cleaning service can help maintain it on a recurring basis.
What to Know Before Your Deep Cleaning
Furniture
We do not move furniture, but we'll clean visible and accessible areas around it whenever possible.
Hard-to-Reach Areas
For safety, our cleaners do not climb higher than a two-step ladder. Higher areas may be dusted with an extension duster when accessible.
Blinds
Results may vary based on the condition and buildup. Excessive buildup on mini-blinds may require an additional charge.
Dust Resettlement
Some dust may naturally resettle after a Deep Cleaning.
Home Access
A $50 service fee applies if we're unable to access the home at the scheduled appointment time.
Laundry
Laundry service is not included.
